Svante Pettersson

For 30 years, Svante Pettersson has worked with light in a variety of ways. Everything from lighting installation and lighting design in the inner city – to lighting art, lighting philosophy and safety issues in vulnerable areas. His art installations are often based on an interplay between a variety of visual factors that together give the viewer happy experiences and educational “aha-moments”. A recurring theme in his expression is the search for unknown dimensions accompanied by existential musings, with both seriousness and humor. Svante is a widely employed inspirational lecturer and workshop leader who continuously guest teaches at various art and design schools. In 2015, he published his light-philosophical book SEE THE LIGHT, which today is used in several light training courses worldwide.
