In each customer contact, the projects begin with a start-up meeting or agreement on what is needed to deliver products to the customer. In the project with 7-Eleven, we were contacted by OSS Nordic who is a partner for 7-Eleven store communication.
Step 1: Introduction
OSS Nordic had a vision to frame the shop windows in the stores with LED strips according to 7-Eleven’s colors to create a clearer and more welcoming store from the streets.
Step 2: Light partner
During the first meeting, it became clear that Xcen could help OSS Nordic and 7-Eleven with the project and the challenges their challenges. The customer sent us specific requests and sketches, and we were able to select suitable products for the project.
After we delivered the LED strips to a test store, OSS Nordic were able to approve the lighting for continued delivery to all stores in Sweden.
Step 3: Production & delivery
Since 7-Eleven has 90 stores around Sweden, installation would be done by different electricians, and it was important that the lighting was installed in the same way in all stores. Xcen produced unique installation instructions to make installation as easy as possible for all installers.
In addition to the installation instructions, we always make sure to adjust LED strips in our production so that the products are always delivered ready for installation to save time for the installer and operating costs for the end customer. After production, we batch packed all deliveries and marked the products according to light color and length of LED strips so that electricians could easily install without having to try their hand at it.
Step 4: Results
The result has been a successful collaboration between Xcen ljuspartner, OSS Nordic and 7-Eleven where we were able to deliver the project according to the customer’s visions. The facade and shop windows have now undergone a transformation to create a clearer experience of 7-Eleven as a meeting place and a natural part of metropolitan life.
