Good design is, by its nature, sustainable.

There is a lot of talk about circularity, reuse, and retrofitting fixtures. These are all important and positive aspects of sustainability, but what about using less? As designers, we should ask ourselves: do we really need this? Can we remove this fixture or light character? Can we reduce the quantity? Can we use fewer fixtures with less material in them, and consume less electricity?
